Without My Feet

I am sitting here sipping a cup of herbal tea and thinking about my feet. What would I do without my feet?  Earlier this morning, for the second time I allowed my feet to take over and they carried me around my yard and I felt the wet morning dew of the grass beneath them and it was such a  pleasant feeling. Remember  how much we liked to go barefoot as kids? I have been living in my home for over five years now, and had not walked barefoot in my yard excpet maybe two times.   WOW!!  I have the lawn service keep it cut and manicured, but had not enjoyed the touch of the grass in my own yard.  As I walked, I was surrounded by a chorus of birds singing to welcome the start of a new day. I was reminded  that God created so much from dirt (earth)! Things we eat and wear come from it. Animals and crawling things live in it, and our planet is covered with it. Let me not forget the creation of Adam! It truly has its purpose! With my  feet covered in dew, I took some long deep breaths and was still . I was now open to receive goodness and grace.

Even if you have a small patch of grass, I encourage you to wake up early one morning  and let your feet feel the sprinkling of God's overnight nourishment of his grass. It's called dew.  If you live in city with limited green space, go to a park if you have to!

God put these words on my heart to share with you this morning.

Without I My Feet I Would Not :

Ask God to guide my steps each day
Feel the cold, wet dew on the grass beneath them on an early morning
Walk in the light and leave darkness behind
Know when to move or keep still
Step into a warm lavender bath
Be Blessed from the top of my head to the tips of my toes
Feel the touch of an immigrant brother or sister's hands during a pedicure
Cherish the touch from the hands of "my love" during a spontaneous massage
Slip into my favorite pair of shoes or old  comfy socks
Sit and curl them beneath me while reading, sipping my favorite tea, watching a  favorite classic movie on TV
Walk up and give someone a warm hug and  a shoulder to cry on
Leap high off the ground
Dance, run, slip, slide
Fall and stand tall

If you are reading this today and do not have "natural" physical  feet, remember that God directs our paths spiritually  in supernatural ways that do not require us to have limbs. Just FAITH!

My blessings to you for a Spirit Lift!

Cinco De Mayo : My Natural Spirit Lift

Happy Cinco De Mayo!

First let me start by saying that I do not drink alcohol, but love to have fun in the natural! Today is my blog debut! I woke up this morning with excitement in my heart because I was going to have a Reiki healing session! This is something that I have been wanting to do for some time, but as we rush through life we forget to stop and take in things that can enhance our lives and those around us. I am grateful for my faith, but today I did not allow my  "religious" tradition to rob me of a great experience. Instead, I opened my heart and mind which led to a wonderful spiritual experience. I have not allowed myself to relax and get out of my own head for a while, but today was a day of "release and receive".  I went there in pain, but asked God to allow me to keep an open mind so I could get through the session. This one hour has changed how I think about the natural healing through energy therapy. Lori, is a Christian woman that God has truly gifted, and I really connected with her energy. She was very kind and talked me through how things would progress duirng the treatment. I felt things in my body that I had never felt before. I could actually feel the release of negative energy being replaced with good energy. My overall energy level was heightened so much that I felt like a feather blowing around in God's air. I suddenly felt that I had released so many things holding me back from being my authentic self and experiencing the grace that leads to abundant living we read about in scripture. The pain I walked in with had subsided. I now know that Reiki will be a part of my growth as a journey down that path that leads to me receiving all God has planned for me through an open and positive energy source.  I believe God led me to Reiki so I could embrace an opportunity to be phyisclly healed without filling my body with drugs. One that allows me to fend off, and recognize negaive energy that steals so much joy from our day to day lives. Medicine has its place, but there are so many natural healiing therapies that we overlook because of our overall additction to prescribed meds.  I tried my hand at putting my thoughts in a video so check it out. Since it is unedited.....I did not give the right web information..so here it is http://www.internapure.com/    I encourage you to read about Lori's story which led me to her spiritually. Upon arrival I felt that I was in a place of peace and calm. It is a day I will never forget. If you have the need to be still, heal, whatever your energy needs are, try this therapy.  The receving of good enegy did not end for me after I left....it is still with me!!!! Now that is SOMETHING!!!! Because I chose to receive a gift, my spirit has been lifted!!!!!

What is Reiki?
Reiki (pronounced Ray-key) is an energy healing technique.  Although it is commonly touted as a spiritual practice, Reiki has no religion.  There are Reiki practitioiners of every belief system that you can think of.
Reiki is simply a practice, originating in Japan by Dr. Mikao Usui, in which a Reiki practitioner pulls energy from the ever flowing energy in the environment and universe and channels it through themselves to the recipient.
There is never a shortage of this energy and it is always flowing throughout space and time.  This allows the Reiki practitioner to never deplete their own energy source, in fact it charges the giver as well as the receiver by just allowing the energy to flow through their body to the recipient.
